Fishing Safaris

Where the wild things are, beasts lurk in the deep waters…

All over Africa’s interior and its coastline there are a myriad of fisheries that can be explored. Where there are remote areas and conserved reserves, the fisheries are very well protected. This means that while you are on safari (season depending), you can cast a line for two and catch some Africa’s iconic species. Whether it’s an add on to an existing safari itinerary, or a custom made fishing safari where the sole focus is just on catching that one species or monster that has eluded you, we can create an experience to meet your individual experience. With co-owner Chris Renshaw being qualified as a specialist aquatic scientist, his passion for rivers and the beasts that inhabit them will make sure that this safari is action packed and sure to secure some great catches. From the upper Zambezi to the great Okavango, these safaris are what dreams are made of. Experience the awe-inspiring  “Great Catfish Run” in the panhandle of the Okavango Delta where huge tiger fish lurk, or catch a monster Nile Perch in the Great Lakes. Any freshwater safari can be created.

Africas tropical coastlines are also known for their productivity with sports fish. The island destinations that we use are also specialist sports fishing destinations. Focus on billfish, or huge giant trevally’s, or even dorado that inhabit and cruise these waters. Flyfishing for bone fish – no problem. Any safari can be custolmised to include whatever fishing experience you would like.

Fishing into the sunset.

A marlin, successfully landed and then released.

A tigerfish lodge paradise, in the middle of the Okavango Delta and the location for the famed “barbel run”.

A tigerfish on fly, one of the best experiences you can have as an angler.

Catching one of the tilapia species, always a treat.
